Shave Ice is the new way of life

Summer is here and shave ice is PERFECTION to beat this stifling tropical heat.

How to eat shave ice:

1. Ask for extra syrup
2. Stare at the pretty colours, it's like a rainbow in a cup O_O
3. ...Ready.....Eat it!....Nom Nom Nom....
4. Brainfreeze!!!!! @_@

I could eat this stuff all day and not get tired of it ^^

Anyway, I'm sorry I haven't been around your blogs and replying to comments lately. It's just that we had this crazy heavy summer rain with lots of thunder and lightening on Saturday evening. The lightening was really really bad. It caused a power shortage and really messed up my homephone, the router, my cellphone (which I had left to charge), and yes, my tv's busted too. D:

I've just barely survived these past few days without any internet. Make of it whatever you want, but finally getting internet back felt like going back to real civilization.

I have a lot going on for the next couple of weeks, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to post regularly. So I wanted to ask :

Is there anyone who would like to guest blog anytime in the next few weeks? Pretty please??? Anyone???

If yes, you can leave a comment, or you can email me at [manjuxoxo@gmail.com].

I'm going to go play catch-up and reply to those comments now :)

you make me recall all those childhood days! Mom used to warn me not to eat too much of it... still you know what kids do right? Never miss a chance, enjoy :)

Ahhh I'm so jealous that it's summer there! I had shaved ice back in September at my uni but I had to pay $2.50 for it when I thought it was free and that made me sad.

Sounds crazy about the storm and the lightning, I would be so afraid! Good luck with everything and I would love to a guest blogger - I'm taking a mini-break from my blog right now, too, but I think a guest blog would do me good and I love your blog so much!

Om nom nom nom... :p

You won't believe me... but today itself, I saw the ice vendor & thought that once I get a camera, I should really take a shot of those wonderful colours...
What a coincidence you blogged about it! :D

I hate being cut off -_- Happened to me this summer, 8 days of no internet, felt like ages. Glad that you're back. Sorry, I'm afraid to guest blog here, you have so many followers, they want the real deal: Manju and not Ninju :P

I'm sorry I didn't send you the card yet. I felt bad, but was so busy these days. Will do so next week, I promise. :)

We call it snow cones here! With syrup AND condensed milk! I always buy one when I see them on the streets. If not, then go outside the cemetery and you'll find a guy with his load selling snow cones.

I've heard about the terrible weather in Mauritius. In the Caribbean it's hot throughout the year! And humidity? Ha! My sworn enemy.. :(

Now I want one! Umma ask hubby to get me one.

Enjoy your week-end! :)

In Singapore we call it Ice Kacang, it's the same thing but with extra jelly, kidney bean and ice cream in it.

I don't mind guest blogging for you, but wait.... what's the condition?
